This Privacy Policy explains how GetWallStreetJobs ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit getwallstreetjobs.com or contact us. GetWallStreetJobs lets job seekers send their resume to financial firms they choose, and lets firms post job openings.
Candidates give us a profile and resume so we can send them to the firms they pick. If a candidate also opts in to sharing with additional firms, we may send their resume to other firms we believe are a fit; that choice is optional and can be turned off at any time. Firms may pay us for candidates or resumes; candidates never pay. Employers give us job details to publish after review. We don't use advertising cookies.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Candidate profile: name, email, phone, city and state, LinkedIn link, the role you want, years of experience, licenses and designations, and your note to firms
- Your resume and anything it contains
- The firms you choose and when we sent your resume to each
- Job posts (employers): job details, plus the poster's name, work email and phone, which we use to confirm the post and don't publish
- Waitlist sign-ups: your email and the section you're interested in
Please do not send Social Security numbers, dates of birth, account numbers or confidential employer records (please remove them from your resume) through this website.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: our web host records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the time of the request, for security and to keep the site running.
- Browser storage: small, essential items stored in your browser, such as your cookie choice. See our Cookie Policy.
- Analytics, only with your consent: if you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics collects information about how you use the site: pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, the site that referred you, device and browser type, and approximate location (city or region, derived from your IP address). We use it only to understand and improve the site. We do not turn on Google Analytics advertising features or Google Signals, we do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we do not combine analytics with information you submit in forms. You can withdraw consent at any time with the Cookie Settings link in the footer.
How we use information
- To send your resume and profile to the firms you select, one email per firm
- Only if you opt in: to send your resume and profile to additional firms we believe may be a fit
- To keep your profile so you can send to more firms later and see where you've applied
- To email you sign-in links and confirmations
- To review and publish job posts
- To keep our site secure and prevent abuse
- To comply with law and enforce our terms
How we share information
- Firms you select. Each firm you choose receives your resume and profile details. Once a firm receives them, its own privacy practices apply.
- Firms may pay us. Firms that receive candidates or resumes from us, including firms you select, may pay us a fee. Candidates never pay us.
- Additional firms, only if you opt in. If you check the optional box to share with additional firms, we may send your resume and profile to other broker-dealers, banks, investment firms, hedge funds or family offices that we believe may be a fit, without asking you each time. You can turn this off at any time from your profile or by emailing us; it stops future sharing but can't recall resumes already sent.
- GoHighLevel, our customer-relationship and email platform, stores profiles and sends our emails on our behalf.
- Vercel hosts this website and stores uploaded resumes.
- Google, as our analytics service provider, receives analytics data only if you accept analytics cookies. See how Google uses data from sites that use its services.
- Service providers that help us run the site and respond to you, such as our web host and email and form-handling providers, under obligations to protect the information.
- Legal and safety reasons: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users, the public, or us.
- Business transfers: if our business is sold or merged, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
Your privacy choices: "sale" and "sharing"
When you submit a resume through our site and give consent, we disclose your information to the firms you select and, only if you opt in, additional firms, and we may receive compensation from them. You direct that disclosure when you check the consent box. Some state privacy laws may still treat a compensated disclosure as a "sale."
To opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information, email hello@getwallstreetjobs.com with the subject line "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information." We also honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals: if your browser sends one, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser. We do not use your information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and Google Analytics runs only with your consent and without advertising features.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies). Advertising features and Google Signals are off. See Google's Privacy Policy.
- Google Fonts delivers our typefaces; Google receives your IP address with the request.
- GoHighLevel stores candidate and employer records and sends our email.
- Vercel hosts the site and stores resumes.
Links to other websites (for example, government regulators) are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are their own.
How long we keep information
We keep inquiry information only as long as needed to respond to you, provide the service you asked about, and meet legal, accounting, or recordkeeping requirements. Typically that is no more than three years after our last contact with you, unless a longer period is required by law. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and disclose it
- Get a copy of your personal information
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Delete your personal information
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information, and of targeted advertising
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
To make a request, email hello@getwallstreetjobs.com. We will verify your request using the contact details you previously gave us and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of their authority. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision with the word "Appeal."
Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above shows when it last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
